Overview

Let customers add gift wrapping and a personal gift message to their order, in the cart and at checkout, including the WooCommerce block checkout.

Installation

1. Download giftly-gift-wrap.zip from My account › My plugins or from your order email. Do not unzip it.
2. In WordPress, go to Plugins › Add New Plugin › Upload Plugin, choose the zip and click Install Now, then Activate.
3. Add a product to the cart: the gift option appears above the cart.

Requires WordPress 6.0+, PHP 7.4+, WooCommerce 7.0+. Works with any theme, block themes and page builders.

• "Gift wrap" option with your name, short description and price (or free), shown in the cart and at checkout
• Added to the order as its own line: visible on invoices, in reports and in the order emails
• Gift message field at checkout (optional, with a maximum length)
• Works with the classic cart and checkout, and with the Cart & Checkout blocks (additional checkout field)
• Gift message shown in the order admin screen, in order emails and on the order confirmation page
• Offered only when the cart contains physical products (optional); removed automatically if nothing is left to wrap

Customize the plugin from your theme’s functions.php or a small plugin, without editing its files (your changes survive updates).

Updates

Updates are free. When a new version is out, it appears in Dashboard › Updates of your WordPress site and you can install it in one click, or turn on automatic updates in Plugins. This works for the zip downloaded from your Woo-Plugins account; older copies can be replaced by downloading the latest version from My plugins. See the changelog.
