Overview

Clickable hotspots on your photos: each opens a card with text, a link or a WooCommerce product with its photo and price. Perfect for shoppable lookbooks.

Installation

1. Download spotly-image-hotspots.zip from My account › My plugins or from your order email. Do not unzip it.
2. In WordPress, go to Plugins › Add New Plugin › Upload Plugin, choose the zip and click Install Now, then Activate.
3. Insert the "Hotspot image" block in a page, or paste the shortcode.

Requires WordPress 6.0+, PHP 7.4+. Works with any theme, block themes and page builders.

Features

• Visual editor: click on the image to add a hotspot, drag it to move it
• Cards with title, text, link and button
• WooCommerce products: enter a product ID and the card shows its photo, name, price (sale prices included) and link automatically
• "Shop the look" list under the image (optional)
• Pulsing dot, plus or numbered hotspots; your colors; light or dark cards
• Open on click, or on hover on computers (click on touch screens)
• Cards stay inside the image (left / right, up / down) and become a bottom sheet on phones
• Keyboard accessible: hotspots are buttons, Escape closes the card, focus returns to the hotspot

• Responsive images, lazy loading; no jQuery on the front end, no external service, no tracking

Updates

Updates are free. When a new version is out, it appears in Dashboard › Updates of your WordPress site and you can install it in one click, or turn on automatic updates in Plugins. This works for the zip downloaded from your Woo-Plugins account; older copies can be replaced by downloading the latest version from My plugins. See the changelog.
