Tabs keep product pages tidy: the essentials at the top, the details one click away. But the default WooCommerce tabs (Description, Additional information, Reviews) rarely answer the questions customers really ask.
Tabs that answer real questions
- Shipping & returns: delays, costs, free return conditions.
- Care: washing, cleaning, maintenance.
- Size & fit: measurements, how it fits.
- Ingredients / materials: for food, cosmetics, textiles.
- Warranty: duration and how to use it.
- FAQ: the three questions you answer most often.
Write them once
Shipping and returns are the same for every product: write the tab once and show it everywhere. Care instructions are often per category. Only a few tabs are really product specific.
Rename the defaults
“Additional information” says nothing; “Dimensions & materials” does. “Reviews (12)” can become “Customer reviews (12)”.
Order and length
- Description first, then what customers ask most.
- Short paragraphs, lists and small tables.
- Four or five tabs at most.
Tably adds global tabs, tabs per product and renames or hides the default tabs. See the candle on the demo and read a shipping & returns tab template.
