Not every business wants to sell online. Wholesalers, manufacturers, made-to-order workshops and showrooms want to show their products, but give prices on request or only to registered customers.
Who uses catalog mode
- Wholesalers who show prices only to trade customers.
- Craftsmen and made-to-order businesses whose prices depend on the project.
- Stores that are not ready to sell online yet.
- Brands that sell through retailers.
Two ways to do it
For guests only: “Log in to see prices”. Customers with an account see prices and order normally. Ideal for B2B stores.
For everyone: “Ask for a price” leads to a contact or quote form.
Do not just hide the button
Hiding the button with CSS is not enough: products can still be added with a link. Real catalog mode makes products impossible to order.
Keep a clear next step
A product page without a price must still say what to do: log in, ask for a price, call you.
Catalogly hides prices and the add to cart button for guests or everyone, on all products or some categories, and shows a Log in or Ask for a price button. See it on the demo.
