Most people shop for Christmas with a budget in mind, not a product. “Something for my brother, around 30 €.” A collection sorted by price meets them exactly where they are, and it is one of the simplest Christmas pages you can build.
Why price collections work
- They match how people plan gifts: one budget per person.
- They remove the fear of “too cheap” or “too expensive”.
- They are good landing pages for search: “gift under 30 euros”, “secret Santa gift under 20”.
Choose your price steps
Look at your catalogue. Common steps are: under 15 € (secret Santa, stocking fillers), under 30 €, under 50 €, under 100 €, and “premium gifts”. Three or four steps are enough.
Set it up in WooCommerce
Option 1: product categories
Create a “Gifts” parent category with children “Under 20 €”, “Under 50 €”… Assign products manually. Simple, full control, and you can write an introduction for each page.
Option 2: price filter links
WooCommerce shop pages accept price filters in the URL (for example ?max_price=20). Link to them from your gift guide. Faster to set up, but the pages are less polished for search engines.
Make the right products stand out
In each collection, put your best gift products first and mark them: “Bestseller”, “Perfect for secret Santa”, “Last pieces”. Badges catch the eye in a grid. Badgely adds automatic badges (sale, new, bestseller, low stock) and custom ones, see the demo and which badges increase sales.
Write a short introduction
Two or three sentences above the products: who these gifts are for, the delivery deadline and the gift wrap option. It helps visitors and search engines.
Link them everywhere
- In your menu under “Christmas gifts”.
- In your gift guide.
- In your announcement bar and Christmas emails.
After Christmas
Keep the pages and update them for birthdays, Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day. Pages that keep their address keep their search ranking.
Example structure
- Gifts under 15 €: secret Santa, colleagues, stocking fillers.
- Gifts under 30 €: friends, siblings, teachers.
- Gifts under 50 €: parents, partners, godchildren.
- Premium gifts: the special one, gift sets.
Each page can have the same short structure: one sentence on who it is for, the delivery deadline, the gift wrap option, then products sorted by popularity.
Search phrases to use
Use the words people type in your titles and introductions: “gift under 20 euros”, “secret Santa ideas”, “Christmas gift for her under 50 €”. Write naturally; one clear title and a short introduction are enough.
How to measure the result
Compare the same weeks before and after the change in WooCommerce › Analytics: conversion rate (orders divided by visits in your statistics tool), average order value and the share of mobile orders. Change one thing at a time when you can, and give each change at least a week of traffic before judging it. In December, compare with the first half of November rather than with last year, because your catalogue and traffic have changed.
