Reviews are one of the strongest factors in online purchase decisions. WooCommerce includes a review system, and you can complement it with richer testimonials. Here is how to use both on product pages.

Native WooCommerce reviews

In WooCommerce › Settings › Products, enable reviews, star ratings and the “verified owner” label. Optionally, allow reviews only from verified buyers. Reviews then appear in a tab on the product page, with the average rating near the title.

Ask for reviews after delivery

Most customers do not leave reviews spontaneously. Send a short email a few days after delivery with a direct link to the product review form, see how to ask for testimonials.

Add richer testimonials

Product reviews are short. Testimonials with photos or videos of customers using the product, or stories about how it helped them, are more convincing. Display two or three relevant testimonials near the add to cart button and a full wall on a dedicated page. See how to display testimonials.

Tools

PraiseWall collects written and video testimonials through your own page and displays them as a wall, carousel or rating badge anywhere, including product pages via shortcode. See the testimonials demo and how to choose a testimonial plugin.

Frequently asked questions

Are WooCommerce reviews enough?

They are a good base. Photo and video testimonials add persuasion.

Should I allow only verified buyers to review?

It increases trust, but may reduce volume. Many stores show the “verified owner” label instead.

How do I get more reviews?

Ask a few days after delivery with a direct link.
